Releasing a Single Number
This option enables you to remove numbers that have been loaded to the customer tenant. Ensure that you unassign these numbers in the customer Teams admin center prior to releasing them (see Unassigning a Number).
➢ | To release a number: |
1. | In the OC Number Management page, select the check box adjacent to the number that you wish to release, click …, and then choose Release Numbers. |
2. | Click to release the number. |
The Release Job is displayed under the Released Number tab, initially in "Pending" state and then in "Complete" state.
3. | The processing time for the Synchronization operation with the Live Platform server and Microsoft platform depends on the server load. Run the 'peering.sync-release-from-account-job', 'peering.sync-upload-to-account-job', and 'virtual-peering.sync-upload-release-aquired-sequence' jobs to refresh the Numbers data (see Synchronizing Operator Connect Jobs). |
4. | In the Multitenant portal Navigation pane, select Monitoring > Operator Connect > Job Monitor. |
Note the Release Job status for both Microsoft (MS Status) and SBC (SBC Status).
5. | Click the relevant entry in the SBC Status column to open the Phone Number SBC Cleanup task status screen. |
6. | Observe if the action was successful. For more information, see Phone Number SBC Cleanup Tasks. |
The Job Monitor is only relevant for numbers that are uploaded using Live Platform. Its not relevant for numbers that were uploaded from the Operator Connect portal.
